A well informed/educated friend of mine in Vermont mentioned to me the other day that one of the more obscure but perhaps pivotal points in the dems race is the fact that Clinton and Obama talk about the middle class and Edwards talks about the poor. I agree that this could be pivotal because the middle class are the poor, but they live in a land of denial and think everyone around them is in the middle class except those unfortunate inner city families. I don't really know though. At no previous point in my life have I been more detached from existence, so you could certainly say my head has been in the sand. Anyone that has been paying more attention have any thoughts on this?
